FORTHCOMING PUBLICATIONS
Several projects are being carried on the systematics and taxonomy of Simuliidae at the NHM. In addition, few other proposal/ideas are being penned at present. Some of the details is as follows:
- The Simuliidae of Brazil
The principal investigator of this project is Tony Shelley in collaboration Luis Hernandez (NHM), Marilza Maia-Herzog, A.P.A.Luna Dias & P.R. Garritano (IOC, Brazil). It will be published as a book. The book deals with the taxaonomic, biology and medical importance for all morphospecies/names of Simuliidae recorded in Brazil until present. The book has now been completed and is in press.
It will be published by Pensot in the ABLA series [Aquatic Biodiversity for Latin America]
We are in the process of proof-reading and we expect that it by published by November 2009.
